An emotional Tony Vidmar has lauded Australian soccer’s cultural mix after being named within the Socceroos’ “Workforce of the Century”.
To rejoice 100 years of the Socceroos, an honorary squad of 23 gamers has been named, with former Adelaide Metropolis, NAC Breda, Rangers, Middlesbrough, Cardiff Metropolis and Central Coast Mariners defender Vidmar amongst these chosen.
Capped 76 instances between 1991 and 2006, Vidmar was considered one of 16 gamers chosen by way of a fan vote, whereas seven extra had been picked by Soccer Australia’s panel of historians.
